About Kerastase
History of Kerastase

For the first time, salon professional and client found themselves united in partnership to achieve the ultimate goal; the client's well being expressed through supremely beautiful, healthy hair.

Since its inception, Kerastase has adopted a highly selective distribution strategy as an essential component of its US launch program. In order to deliver an maintain the necessary support and training essential to the success of the line, Kerastase will limit its distribution to the top 1000 salons in the United States. Only premium salons and day spas are targeted as potential Kerastase Consultant salons. These must emphasize salon professional expertise, value premium quality products and adhere to the highest level of personalized service.

Following the launch of the Nutritive and Resistance product ranges, Kerastase quickly became the darling of the beauty editors and the must-have beauty item among Hollywood leading ladies. Prominent mentions touting Kerastase's treatment benefits have appeared in Vogue, InStyle, Elle, Harper's Bazaar, Allure, W and Lucky; the monthly celebrity chronicle InStyle features Kerastase products in nearly every issue. Madonna, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Lopez, Cameron Diaz, Sarah Jessica Parker, Jennifer Anitston, Debra Messing and Michelle Pfeiffer are all known to be devotees of the line.

The momentum continues with the addition of Oleo-Relax and the recent launch of Elasto-Curl. Oleo-Relax is the ultimate smoothing treatment system to tame dry and unmanageable hair and the newest offering in the Nutritive range of treatment hair care products. Each Oleo-Relax product contains the exclusive Nutri-Hulle complex; which is infused with nourishing Shoea and Palm oils for immediate smoothing of the hair fizziest at bay - even when the humidity levels are high. Elasto-Curl introduces a technological breakthrough with Hydra-Elastic Complex, combining three Active ingredients to hydrate and define dry, curly hair: A moisturizing glycerol, a curl enhancing polymer and silicone derivatives for shine. Curls are redesigned, individualized and frizz is controlled for perfect definition.

The US Launch has been a progressive refional roll out that began in four major markets: New York City, Boston, Washington DC and Los Angeles. Notable salons carrying the line from the beginning include Minardi Salon, and Oribe Salon in New York City, Ilo Day Spa in Washington DC and Fred Segal Beauty, the celebrity hair emporium in Santa Monica. Less than a year after its introduction, Kerastase partnered with high-end multiple doores, which accounts for seven salons in the Pacific Northwest, Gene Juarez Salong. Kerastase today continues its expansion into this country's finest salons and day spas, presently targeting the San Francisco, Dallas, Houston, Phoenix and Atlanta markets.
