In 2018, Lenny took over L Salon with the privilege of carrying on the previous owner Elizabeth’s legacy.
His plan was to continue to carry on Elizabeth’s traditions that she had bestowed upon her team with her unparalleled salon.
Lenny’s journey with L Salon began in 2008, meaning he has now been a key member of the team for over a decade. Throughout is career in the hair industry, his favorite part of the job has been creating unique haircuts for each individual.
“I take each person’s features and piece together a look just for them. In order to keep up with the latest trends and styles, I attend yearly hair shows and educational classes to sharpen my skills.”

Elizabeth’s noteworthy hair career began in 1974 with Yosh for Hair, Palo Alto California.
L Salon is Elizabeth’s namesake, as the name comes from her own nickname ‘L’. With this venture, she set out to make a difference in the world of hair fashion.
She takes great pride in the fact that L salon is truly a customer service-oriented business. She attributes her success to her love of hair, her commitment to the industry and her seriousness in education.
Elizabeth has continued her key management role at L Salon after handing it over to Lenny in 2018. A moment of great pride for Elizabeth was being accepted as a member in the most prestigious international hair design organization in the world, Intercoiffure America. She was chosen to represent the USA in the world congress hair show in Berlin.

In 2001, we welcomed Maria Bandlow to our salon. Her training began with two industry leaders – Elizabeth Stenstrom for cutting, and Janice Monahan for Color.
As both a colorist and stylist, she takes great pride in customizing each cut and color to a person’s individuality. Maria’s philosophy is to rather than give everyone a trendy look, update everyone’s style and take it to the next level, whether it’s going from long to short layers, or doing a bob, an A-line or one of the latest cuts. Her colors go from natural to avant-garde and she also specializes in an amazing French highlighting technique—Balayage. Which she has been practicing for years before it became mainstream. Maria has traveled nationally and internationally to attend classes and hair shows. Her work is seen in multiple hair magazines for cut, color, and updos.

Wendy Gardney has been an L Salon stylist giving clients makeovers and more since 2002. Her passion runs the gamut from classic to modern and progressive looks.
Over the past 17 years, Wendy has taken many educational classes to hone her skills. She has learned from greats such as Nick Arrojo and Beth Minardi. Also attended classes from Vidal Sassoon and Jameson Shaw, where she learned the French balayage technique.
Color and cuts are her true passion, letting that passion come through in each haircut and color she does. Wendy is here to talk to you about taking your look to the next level. Your possibilities are endless!

As a designer, Ozzy’s focus is to create a style for an individual that fits their lifestyle and compliments their aesthetic.
Not only does he enjoy cutting hair, but he loves meeting new people along the way. As a graduate of The San Francisco Institute of Esthetics and Cosmetology, a Paul Mitchell school, Ozzy was part of the Design Team, where he did hair and makeup on models for hair shows and events. He has continued his education by attending the Toni & Guy Academy for advanced training in cutting techniques. Ozzy was lucky enough to attend the Global Hair and Fashion Group Photo Shoot in New York, where he helped Elizabeth Stenstrom style models for a photo shoot that will appear in hair magazines worldwide. Ozzy loves doing updos for special events and recently traveled to Austria to do a bridal party.

Her schedule is often full with either her clients at L Salon, spending time with her children or dedicated to her passion as a freelance makeup artist. Her love for makeup goes hand in hand with her eye for hair color in the salon.

Vanessa’s hairdressing career began in 1985 in Southern France. In 1995, she moved to Stamford, Connecticut where she continued to enhance her craft as a color specialist at Noelle’s Day Spa.
Today, Vanessa is known as one of the best colorist’s in our field. With over 30 years’ experience in the hair and beauty industry, both as an educator and colorist, Vanessa moved to San Francisco Bay Area to join the L Salon & Color Group Design Team.
As a master colorist, Vanessa strives to perfect the latest trends in color, corrective color, and color formulation. She is also known for her signature Balayage. Vanessa works with her clients to gather a complete understanding of her client’s needs, and the ever changing views on beauty. She is a natural at corrective color, and is trusted implicitly by her clients to choose optimal colors with optimal results.

In 2009, Veggy came to the United States from Iran knowing only Armenian and Farsi. Since then, she has mastered English and become an Creative Colorist at L Salon.
Having knowledge of both European and American techniques, she is a very a well-rounded colorist. Veggy is great at creating subtle enhancements that make a big difference. Whether it’s infusing caramel tones to dark brunettes, or painting a few accent pieces to brighten up your face.
