Apprentice
The Candidate
L Salon & Color Group in San Mateo is seeking a full time licensed hair stylist. The ideal candidate is a fashion conscious, motivated individual with a fun personality and the ability to be creative. We are a specialized salon and our stylists either cut or color. L Salon offers a distinguished apprenticeship training program that keeps you up to date with the hottest trends. We are interested in hiring someone looking for an exciting career, and not merely another job. (Apprenticeship program)
The Training Program
The program will include but not be limited to the following
• Classes held by our master stylists for one hour, two days a week
• Taking live models provided by L salon
• Assisting our designers and colorists on a daily basis
• Salon cleaning/ maintenance
We also offer complimentary cuts & product cost for color!

Salon Coordinator
We have an immediate opening for a Salon Coordinator at an upscale Salon in Downtown San Mateo. We are looking for someone that is fun and outgoing with a sense of style. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling incoming calls, greeting and checking out clients, and assisting in all other area’s needed to run a successful and efficient salon. We prefer someone with Salon or Customer Service experience, but not necessary.
This is a full-time position
- The hourly rate of this position is set at the current minimum wage.
- After 90 days we will reevaluate for a potential hourly increase in pay.
- After a year of employment you’ll receive a week paid vacation & three paid sick days
